In Las Vegas, Jeff and I stayed at the glamorous Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino! Through Jetsetter, we booked one of their wraparound terrace suites at a discounted price. The hotel was perfect for us - mainly young adults, modern, and located right in the middle of The Strip. Our suite was nice and spacious, with amazing views, as you can see from the photos. I highly recommend the Cosmo if you're looking for a nice hotel in Vegas!

It's about time that I made a blog post on our trip to Las Vegas last month! I am still trying to get into the hang of posting regularly again, as you can probably tell. Anyway, Jeff and I took a trip to Vegas to celebrate our five year anniversary! We did a lot of fine dining, sightseeing, and a little bit of shopping. I will do a separate post on our fabulous suite at The Cosmopolitan and possibly the purchases I made! I actually didn't take that many photos there so these are just some random ones. It was a fun but short trip, so I can't wait until our next vacation!

new camera, new outlook.

I recently purchased a new camera, which the Samsung Galaxy Camera. I had been thinking of getting a smaller camera for a while now because carrying a bulky DLSR around is just not ideal. So far I really like it! It's basically like an android phone, but without the phone features. I will do my best take more photos on a daily basis! 

Oh and here's a sneak peek of my closet - it's not quite finished, but getting there!

So...I'm engaged! Jeff popped the question last week in the Boston Public Garden with this beautiful ring he custom-designed himself! It's exactly what I always pictured my engagement ring to look like and I could not be happier with it. I have dreamed about this day since I was little and cannot wait to marry my best friend!  We have not set a date yet because I am planning on continuing college first. Nonetheless, I am super excited about wedding planning!

There's been a lot of sales going on, which is great for my wallet and also makes me excited for spring inventory! A few things I bought last week:

1) Victoria's Secret was having a scratch-off promotion for college students where you had a chance to win a bralette or get a discount! Of course Jeff was lucky and got a winning ticket! I also picked up a bra from their semi-anuual sale.

2. I found this cute top browsing Urban Outfitter's sale section. Are spikes still in?

3. Also stopped by Sephora for their yearly birthday gift. Unfortunately I already have the Watt's Up! highlighter but free is free!

4. At Zara I bought these printed harem pants. I've been wanted a pair of printed pants for a while! They're a little big for XS but I'll make it work.

mari gold brown circle lenses.

I purchased a pair of circle lenses a couple weeks ago out of curiosity. They're the Mari Gold Brown Lenses by GEO. When I first tried them on, I thought I looked really freaky, but I got more used to it after a bit. If you wear eye makeup it looks more natural, but I don't too often. I'll probably wear them for fun once in a while when I feel like getting done up. Oh, and I purchased them from Fobby Barbie. Shipping was fast and the prices are good! 

Be careful when opening the lense bottles. I cut my finger!

sleek makeup reviews.

I have been trying not to buy too many beauty products because I just don't use them that often. But when I saw Sleek Makeup had come out with a bb cream, I just had to try it! If you haven't heard of Sleek Makeup, it's a drugstore brand from the UK! 

Blush by 3 in Lace - $12.49

I realized I had only been using cream blushes throughout summer so I decided to buy this palette with three shades! The individual shades (from left to right) are Crochet, Guipure, and Chantilly. If you are interested in swatches, there are photos available on the Sleek Makeup website. Overall I was happy with this blush palette because the shades are very pigmented and pretty. I will say that they are darker in real life than on the website so keep that in mind.

Be Beautiful Blemish Balm in Light - $11.49 

Ever since bb creams became popular in the US I have been trying out a few of them out. For the most part the ones available in the drugstores are very sheer which is fine with me. But for those who are looking for one with a little more coverage, this bb cream might be for you! It is thicker and more moisturizing than most of the ones I have tried. I think it will be a favorite of mine during the colder months. I was a little worried about the shades though because there is a huge jump in color from light to medium. I purchased the light because the medium was just way too dark looking and it turned out fine. It is a bb cream after all so it's not as obvious if the color match isn't perfect!

I'm definitely not an expert so I kept the reviews short and simple. Let me know if anyone has tried these products and recommendations for other Sleek Makeup products!

hello rilakkuma!

When I saw this plush Rilakkuma iPhone case, I couldn't resist! Maybe I'm a bit old for dolls but who cares? It is a little inconvenient though because the holes for the headphones and charger don't quite fit. But my biggest gripe is that there is no hole for the camera so I need to take the phone out of the case to snap a photo. I still love it though! If anyone else is interested in purchasing it, it's called the iDoll phone case - there's other character variations as well!

I have always found postal designs quirky and this particular one by Yves Saint Laurent has been a favorite of mine for a while! Jeff bought this wallet for me after I  decided I should invest in a classic and quality wallet over ones I would just get tired of! I think it's well worth it; don't you agree?

I am so sorry I haven't blogged in over a month! It's due to a combination of being both busy and lazy. But I can't believe it is almost August! There's going to be some exciting things happening next month, so I will try my best to blog about them. For now, enjoy the brightness of my new runnings shoes - I got them as motivation to work out since Jeff usually has to drag me with him!
